NB Vites: Nkiru Sylvanus In a Secret Marriage To Media Aide, Umar Sani

 

Nollywood actress and Special Assistant on Public Affairs to Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State, Nkiru Sylvanus got married in a secret ceremony attended by family members to her long time boyfriend Mallam Umar Sani, the media spokesman of Vice president Namadi Sambo.
Our sources revealed that the wedding which held two weeks ago was given a media blackout due to the media attention that surrounded the kidnapping of the actress and because Mr. Sani already has a wife and this puts Nkiru in the position of a second wife.

Nkiru Sylvanus was kidnapped by some gunmen in Owerri on Saturday, December 15, 2012 and demanded a ransom of 100 million naira for her release. The actress was released a week after, though there were unconfirmed reports that a ransom was paid as well as how much was paid.

We learnt Nkiru and Umar Sani, a close friend to Gov. Rochas Okorocha had been dating for a while and it was Mr. Sani, who got the political appointment for the actress in Imo State as she is from Abia State.
