British Father Seriously Injured After Fire Rips Through His Holiday Home in Spain

According to Europa Press, a British man is critically ill in hospital after a huge fire ripped through his holiday home in Benidorm, Spain.
The unnamed 34-year-old man and his son were lucky to escape with their lives after the blaze caused devastation in their second-floor flat in the popular tourist destination.
He is being treated at Alicante General Hospital for first and second degree burns, while his son suffered minor injuries.
Around 30 people were forced to evacuate the building, located in Calle Armada Espanola, and firefighters took more than an hour to get the flames under control.

An investigation has now been launched into the cause of the blaze.
