Renowned Nigerian Novelist Professor Chinua Achebe Dies Aged 82


Renowned Nigerian Novelist Professor Chinua Achebe, seen by millions as the father of African literature, has died at the age of 82. According to reports, he died following an illness and hospital stay in Boston, Massachusetts last night, March 21. 

The author wrote more than 20 works - some extremely critical of politicians and failed leadership in Africa. And his 1958 debut novel "Things Fall Apart" has sold more than 10 million copies world wide.

Rest in the bosom of the Lord, great writer of our time.
