Woman in Court For Dead Babies in Freezer


A woman named as Thandiwe Wendy Dladla allegedly kept the bodies of two babies in a chest freezer appeared in the Ntuzuma Magistrate's Court in South Africa on Thursday February 28th.
The bodies of a four-month-old baby and a newborn were found among chicken pieces and meat on January 26 in KwaMashu, after KwaZulu-Natal police received a tip-off from local residents.

Dladla had allegedly been running an illegal funeral home called Mabinda Funeral Services.
She had been declared insolvent, and her assets were liquidated. Despite this she allegedly continued running the business.
The bodies were discovered when police conducted an in-loco inspection.
The woman was arrested and charged with contravening the Human Tissue Act. 

The case has been postponed to April 5 for further investigations.
