Pope Benedict XVI Posts His First Tweet

 

Pope Benedict XVI has posted his first message on Twitter this morning, blessing all of his followers on the social-networking site.
At the time of writing the Pope’s English account had already attracted almost 700,000 followers.
The church leader’s Twitter presence is being split across eight different accounts in eight different languages. Greg Burke, the Vatican’s communications adviser, said previously on the social networking site, that Pope will tweet as often as he wants and would mostly answer questions about faith.
