Website Launched for Victims of Rape & Sexual Assault
MET police has launched a website that aims to outline the choices available to victims of rape and serious sexual assault.
Mydecision.co.uk, which was been created as a ‘step-by-step guide’ for anyone who has or knows someone who has, been a victim of sexually related crimes, opens after the force revealed that only one in five will go to the police and around 40 per cent of victims will choose not to report it.
As the internet has increasingly become part of many people’s everyday life, the met said that an online service was seen as “the most effective way to communicate with the public by providing answers to individuals’ questions and concerns in an anonymous, private and trusted environment”. Every information provided will be treated with utmost confidentiality, says the met.
So if you need help with regards to any rape offence, you know where to go http://www.mydecision.co.uk
