Beyoncé will headline a concert for Gucci's
Chime For Change in London this summer.
The charity's ambassador Salma Hayek Pinault with Mariane Pearl, John Legend and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy gave the news during a press conference at the Soho Hotel yesterday morning.
Chime For Change, the recently launched global campaign founded by Gucci,
serves to raise funds and awareness for girls’ and women’s empowerment
and has the support of some of Hollywood's leading figures.
The singer - who is the co-founder of Chime For Change and the
concert creative director - will take to the stage on 1 June 2013
to raise money for the female empowerment charity.
The event will be broadcast globally, and will also feature sets
from Florence + The Machine, Ellie Goulding, Iggy Azalea, John Legend, Rita Ora, Timbaland and Laura Pausini.
