British First Female Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher Dies At 87
Former British prime minister, Baroness Thatcher died this morning following a stroke.
Lady Thatcher earned a place in the history books as the UK's first woman prime minister when she entered Downing Street in 1979 and reigned till 1990.
In a statement issued by her spokesman, Lord Bell: "It is with great sadness that Mark and Carol Thatcher announced that their mother Baroness Thatcher died peacefully following a stroke this morning.
"A further statement will be made later."
Prime Minister David Cameron said via twitter: "It was with great sadness that I learned of Lady Thatcher's death. We've lost a great leader, a great prime minister and a great Briton."
May her soul rest in peace. Amen.
