London To Face Snow Flurries & a Week of Freezing Weather

London was yesterday warned it faces a week of sub-zero temperatures and the likelihood of the first snow of the year. While the capital will escape the worst of the bad weather this weekend, Monday will begin with an early morning -1C chill that will gradually worsen throughout the week - reaching -5C by Sunday next week. Snow flurries are expected in the capital next Thursday. But the freezing nights will be accompanied by sunny days, when temperatures are expected to peak at about 10C.
